2012, come at me bro!

January 1, 2012

I didn’t post nearly as much as I would like in 2011.  This year had its ups and downs.  Going to Boston was definitely one of the highlights.  So I hope to do more posting in 2012, which hopefully means I will do a lot more interesting things this year.

I’ve made a few resolutions/goals for the new year:

  • Make more money
  • Read more books (only read 12 in 2011)
  • Finish writing a novel
  • Get fit
  • Get more tattoos
  • Stay out of jail (if you don’t already know, then I don’t plan on telling you.)

I’m sure there are more things I want to do, but this is all I have at the moment.  Happy new year to all, I hope its a great one.

2011 in review

January 1, 2012

I liked the layout of this better last year.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 6,100 times in 2011. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 5 trips to carry that many people.

I haven’t updated in a minute.  I’ve been busy with work and the holidays and buying a new car.  It’s been a action packed month and a half. Our Halloween party was a success.  I posted an album on facebook, but I’ll share a few on here as well.

I decided to go as spider-man last minute.  I’m pretty sure I was caught mid-dance in this photo.

Heather went as Wonder-Woman.

We even bought costumes for the dogs.  Miki was a hot dog.

And Molly was a turtle.

My piece of shit car died on me about 2 weeks ago.  It may not be actually dead, but it overheated on the highway and since I only payed $700 for it I figured it would be better to buy something new, which I had been saving for, instead of throwing money away in order to drive the junker for two more months.

It’s a 2009 Nissan Versa. And it’s manual, which I couldn’t drive when I bought it.  But now I can, and I don’t think I will buy an automatic ever again.   For the first few days, I would stall out at red lights, but I’ve gotten a lot better.  I was really surprised that I was able to buy such a nice car.  I went to Carmax and they made everything super easy.  I have low payments and a warranty for the next 6 years if anything goes wrong with it.

And then there was Thanksgiving.  I went to see my family, Heather’s family and then visit  Scott up in Tennessee.  It was a lot of driving, but I had a ton of fun.  I’m really glad I got to see everyone. Heather and I went shopping on black friday and bought a 55″ tv.  It wouldn’t fit in my car, so we had to come back the next day to pick it up.  We also bought a load of blu-rays, dvds, and video games.  I’ve been playing Arkham City on the new TV, and IT IS AWESOME!

Christmas is coming up soon and I am ecstatic.  It should be one of the best ones ever.  I’ve got to get my hustle on at work though, because I have spent way too much money this month.

Almost Halloween!

October 20, 2011

We are throwing a party this year.  Not sure on what my costume will be yet, but I have a few ideas in mind.  Since it is almost Halloween, my blog has gotten a ton of hits on the pumpkins we carved last year, you can see the pics here.  I’m not  sure if we will have time to carve this year. I’ve been working six days a week and haven’t really done anything of value in my spare time.  I have started reading the Game of Thrones series, though.  Only on chapter two, but it seems promising.   I have to read it before I can watch the show.  It will probably be a while before I update again, so happy Halloween!

p.s.  I’m rocking the mohawk again.

Here I come!

Pet Peeve

I really hate it when people want to look at my tattoos and then proceed to grab my arm and turn it in all directions so that they can see them.  When you go to a museum do you touch all the paintings and turn them around to get a better view?  Then why do you think it is okay to do so with my arm?  Not to mention the fact that you are invading my personal space.  And while I’m ranting; yes, they hurt.  You are being stabbed with a needle over a prolonged period of time, why wouldn’t it hurt? Oh? You could’t handle that?  I really don’t care what your pain tolerance is, nor  do I want to hear about the tattoo you’ve been “planning” for the past five years, or your brothers tattoos, or the really cool ink you saw on TV, nor do I want to look at you nautical star or sparrow tats.
